This morning I finally started Tina’s Best Body Bootcamp. And let me tell you, the girl knows what she is talking about. I LOVED it. She takes traditional lifts, such as the dumbbell row and adds in elements that engage your entire body. I do have to day, there was one exercise that REALLY got me. The Scorpion.
If you can’t tell by the picture, you take one leg off the medicine ball and bring it across your body. KILLER!
To warm up, I stepped on the elliptical and did a quick 20 minute interval workout.
For breakfast, I wasn’t really sure what I wanted, and that’s really what ended up happening. A little bit of everything. I started with a banana because I am convinced that I don’t get enough potassium and really need to make it a point to add it into my diet.
Then, a little experimenting. I have wanted to try to make a pumpkin cream cheese for a little while now. My first attempt a little while ago was an epic fail. This time, was MUCH improved. I had found a pumpkin butter at publix the other night and took a dab of that and mixed it with some whipped cream cheese and got a sweet pumpkin cream cheese! I put it on a flat everything bagel and YUM.
This was definitely delicious. A bit sweeter than I expected so I’m thinking about doing a bit more work on this guy, but definitely not an EPIC FAIL.
I was still hungry and grabbed a handful of almonds to top it off. Just a bit of everything.
Today, I am actually a bit excited because I don’t have to drive out to Melbourne 🙂 I am spending some time working on my other accounts and maybe topping the day off with some much needed pumpkin picking!!! Soooooo excited 🙂
The one thing that I do miss about fall in the north is apple picking. I loved going out in the orchard with those large wooden tubs and going nuts picking apples.
I have a whole bunch of memories from when I was little going out with the fam to pick apples. BUT, none stand above the time that we all went out and picked 2 full barrels of apples. I’m not talking a small bushel of apples. We picked half the orchard. My mom had put the apples in our wet room/laundry room for keeping because there were so many. I went in there with my brother one afternoon and picked all of the stems off the apples and left them in a big pile on the floor. I must have been around 5 when I did this and I still remember fishing through them all just to make sure I got them all 🙂
I swear, there must have been 50 plus apples. We have a family of 7 and we had a lot of apple pie that fall 😉
What’s your favorite fall activity?? What’s memory stands out that made it such a fun time??
